Unlike a leather sling, there are no rivets to fail, they are easy to maintain (no saddle soap every six months), and easy to store (small enough to fold and carry in your toybag).
And BigAss Slings are washable, they’re really easy to keep clean (into the washing machine on warm and then quickly hang dry [in two hours, really]).
